IP addresses change often (mobile data, switching Wi-Fi) and are shared (a whole household, café or school). Saves keyed by IP could vanish or get mixed with someone else's. A save code is safer and more reliable — and we don't need to keep anything that identifies you.

Yes. On the old device the save-slot screen shows your save code (like ABCD-EFGH-JKLM). On the old device tap Save code / move device, then Copy (or Share it to yourself). On the new device tap the same button, choose Use a code from another device and type the code. The game shows the farms it found and asks first; farms already on the new device are not lost — they stay under its old code, and "Switch back to old code" brings them back. Keep the code private, like a password.

Three slots, each its own farm. Press "Delete" on a slot and confirm — it's removed on the device and online, and can't be undone.
